Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty. Ltd. is an Australian-resident company established in 1985 as a 50-50 joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Its head office is located in Perth. MIMI holds a one-sixth equity interest in North West Shelf Venture (NWS Venture), based on huge gas and condensate fields on the North West Shelf of Western Australia.
With five partner companies, MIMI supplies natural gas to the domestic market in Western Australia, LNG to Japan, and condensate, crude oil, and LPG to international markets. About 11 million tons of LNG a year are supplied safely and efficiently to ten Japanese power and gas utilities.
