Petro-Diamond Inc. (PDI)

Petro-Diamond Inc. (PDI), unlike other affiliated companies of Mitsubishi Corporation(MC), is based in a foreign country, in Irvine, California, U.S.A. and primarily operated by local staff. Notwithstanding its small size with some 30 employees, PDI's business activities are well recognized in the region. PDI has been engaged in trading and marketing petroleum products in southern California and other areas in the west coast of the United States. PDI owns and operates its wholly-owned 510,000-barrel clean product terminal called Petro-Diamond Terminal Company (PDTC) in Long Beach and has a lease contract for a dirty oil terminal with almost the same capacity.

PDI deals in clean products, like gasoline, diesel oil, jet fuel, and ethanol, as well as various kinds of dirty products, including bunker fuels, marine diesel oil (MDO), and blend stocks of fuel oil such as light cycle oil and decant oil. PDI has business relations not only with major / independent oil companies like ExxonMobil, the Royal/Dutch Shell Group of Companies (Shell), BP, ChevronTexaco, Valero, and Tesoro, but also with major distributors like hyper maker distributors, public transportation like MTA, as well as government offices like the U.S. military and the police. On the other hand, PDI supplies jet fuels for several airline companies at the Los Angeles International Airport. PDI is also one of the major suppliers of bunker fuel at the Los Angeles Port and Long Beach Port, the two largest shipping terminals in the west coast.

Due to the location of the terminals, PDI's principal marketing activity centers on southern California. But recently, with cooperation by other partners, PDI is successfully expanding its market to nearby states such as Arizona, Nevada, and Washington, as well as northern California areas such as San Francisco.

In addition to domestic marketing in the United States, PDI is actively involved in foreign trade of clean and dirty products covering Asia, South America, and other regions. In Asia and Pacific region, under the partnership with MC and Petro Diamond Singapore (PDS), PDI plays an important role in Energy Business Group's petroleum products trade.
