Mitsubishi Corporation has a strong customer base and the carbon business has traditionally developed around such products as coal coke, petroleum coke, pitch coke, distilled tar products, artificial graphite electrodes, activated carbon, and carbon fibers. The Carbon Business Strategy & Development Office is working on deciding measures for the implementation of our medium- and long-term strategy of carbon business, the development of new applications for cutting-edge carbon materials in emerging fields, and the support and promotion for inter-unit and inter-group projects. Carbon business management planning, budget management, general affairs, development of applications, and projects involving multiple business units.
