 The Energy Development Business Unit is engaged in the development of new business models and the launch of new business related to the energy industry and seeks to seize opportunities spawned by changes in this area. This change is being brought about by recent electricity and gas industry deregulation, the redoubling of efforts to combat global warming , the run-up of fossil fuel prices and other forces.  Building on our strengths such as fuel supply function, the Energy Business Development Unit will continue to develop business related to the supply of electricity and heat energy. At the same time, we are stepping up our efforts in new fields such as securitization of energy assets and focusing on such fuels as biomass fuels including ethanol and bio diesel. As a total energy solutions provider, we work on market development in response to changing consumer awareness, and plan for energy-related projects on a global scale.  Gas and electricity supply, electricity generation (including co-generation), securitization of energy assets, greenhouse gas emission (global warming countermeasures), promotion of business related to new fuel and other environment-related activities
