Overview

The Petroleum Feedstock Unit imports, exports and sells naphtha, condensate, and gasoline components to oil and petrochemical companies in Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. Focusing on Asian markets, including Japan, the company now trades in various ways naptha and condensate as petrochemical raw materials in Asia and the Middle East. MC has built a solid position as a leading company in the industry and handle approximately 90% of the domestic barge naptha distribution in Japan (approximately 2 million kiloliters), excluding those transactions among oil wholesaler groups.

MC has established an integrated distribution network to handle the naphtha and condensate it sells to petrochemical companies. This network has provided these companies with exceptional sales and coordination capability, helping to build close relationships with petrochemical companies in Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.

More specifically, the vast naphtha import terminal that we have retained in Chita, Aichi Prefecture with a total capacity of 100,000 kiloliters, gives MC a unique position among Japanese trading companies. It enables us to respond quickly to any gap between the supply of naphtha produced in Japan by petroleum companies and the demand for naphtha from petrochemical operators there. Also, we are creating a more efficient and economical transport system by joining the freight market itself and reducing transportation costs by utilizing our fleet of LR II Size (89,999DWT) vessels such as M/T Glory Crystal and other large ships.
