In the Development & Construction Project Division, we are actively engaged in housing, urban redevelopment, private financing initiatives (PFIs), securitization of real estate, and overseas real estate investment. We are also engaged in the development of industrial complexes in Southeast Asia. |
In the Development & Construction Project Division, we promote real estate and construction business. In particular, based on our rich experiences we have an outstanding track record of condominium development and have also been winning many contracts for private financing initiative (PFI) projects, including those for the construction of hospitals, aquariums, government buildings, and universities. By utilizing our financial capabilities, we have also been involved in the development of Japanese real estate investment trusts (J-REIT) and are actively engaged in real estate securitization businesses for urban development projects. Furthermore, we have built a strong reputation through our extensive involvement in construction and consulting for various types of property developments, including shopping center facilities. We also engage in equipment installation and sales, and recently, we have also begun developing the energy solutions business. Our operations outside Japan include investment in rental housing, distribution facilities, and prime real estate funds in North America; development of industrial parks in countries such as the Philippines and Vietnam; and involvement in the Bow Bells House Redevelopment Project in London.
As a general trading company, we have accumulated experience and know-how as well as developed a strong capacity for coordinating engineering through our business activities in Japan and overseas. By leveraging these comprehensive strengths, we will actively pursue construction and real estate development projects, such as those related to the development of commercial facilities and urban development. At the same time, we will continue our trading in machinery. In addition, we will promote the development of high-quality housing projects. As part of our efforts to improve our own services and further develop the value chain, we will look to increase our involvement in real estate business outside Japan and in businesses integrating real estate and financial functions, such as PFIs, real estate securitization (REITs focusing on retail properties and logistics facilities), and real estate liquidation.
