Overview

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is striving to further develop an efficient transport system based on its domestic and international distribution network. Three enterprises form the core of our activities in this area: the comprehensive logistics businesses of Mitsubishi Corporation LT, Inc.; the comprehensive liquids logistics company of MC Terminal Co. Ltd.; and Mitsubishi Ore Transport Co. Ltd. We provide high value-added services that respond to a wide variety of needs, extending from B2B-oriented procurement, production, and sales through to services focused on the needs of end-users. In addition, MC Insurance Center Limited is at the core of our efforts to promote risk solution services through insurance in order to cover the risks that arise during the processes of various economic activities.

Strategy

Building on the capabilities developed through the traditional activities of the Logistics Services Division, we are providing high value-added solutions to customers both inside and outside Mitsubishi Corporation (MC). Our basic strategy is to provide logistics and insurance services that leverage the special capabilities that MC possesses as a general trading company.

We also create new functions by linking MC's capabilities in such areas as finance and information and communication technology. Examples of this kind of activity include our development of the IC tag business and a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) specializing in distribution facilities. In this way, we will proceed to secure new sources of earnings for MC.
