With a medium to long term vision, the Innovation Center works to cultivate new businesses which will become new earnings pillars for MC, and to support new business development within the company by other Business Groups. |
The Innovation Center strives to give life to new business ideas by seizing the opportunity of change that arises as industrial structures change and technological innovations advance, and by investing in these opportunities in the early stages before markets are established.
Specifically, MC is working to commercialize technologies in such fields as nanotechnology, in which fullerenes are the primary focus, and cutting-edge electronics, in which the focus is next-generation display technologies. In addition, MC seeks to launch new markets together with our customers by providing funding and other support for development projects in Business Groups.
