The New Energy and Environment Business Division works on improvements and solutions to global environmental issues through its environmental businesses. |
New Energy Business
We work on the development of new energy to supplement and replace fossil fuels, such as photovoltaic systems, biomass fuels, and fuel cells. In addition, we finance a variety of clean energy businesses by creating designated funds.
Emissions Reduction Business
Under the Kyoto Protocol, we promote greenhouse gas reduction projects and emission credit (carbon credit) trading.
Environment and Water Business
We are engaged in water-related business in Japan and overseas and various environmental and resource recycling businesses contributing to the formation of a recycling-based society.
MC had already been involved in environmental activities through Innovation Center, Energy Business Group, Metals Group, and Machinery Group, and we integrated these into our New Energy and Environment Business Division in April 2007. The division works on global environment businesses in three main areas: New Energy, Emissions Reduction, and Environment and Water.
The mission of the division is to address global environmental issues through its business . We take a leading role in MC's business activities to improve the global environment.
