 In the Isuzu Business Division, we export Isuzu-brand cars and parts from Japan, as well as manufacture, sell and provide finance for Isuzu motor vehicles through our business investments. Our activities also extend to distribution, IT and other fields.
In the Isuzu Business Division, we have worked to expand our participation in the auto industry, mainly through our business in Thailand, which dates back 50 years. Our involvement in the automobile business starts with the export of Isuzu-brand cars and parts from Japan and extends across the value chain of the auto industry. Through our business investments, we are engaged in a wide array of activities, from production, sales, servicing and distribution of vehicles and parts to sales financing and IT-related fields. In recent years, in addition to exports from Japan, we have begun exporting pickup trucks made in Thailand to the rest of the world. At the same time, we are developing automobile manufacturing and sales businesses for Isuzu-brand vehicles in countries the world over.
In Thailand, we will work with Isuzu Motors to maintain strong sales by strengthening the competitiveness of products as well as sales forces. Outside Thailand, we are developing joint ventures with Isuzu Motors in a variety of locations, including the Philippines, Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg), Spain, Portugal, Malaysia, Mexico and Germany. We will look to apply the know-how we have accumulated in Thailand and other regions in order to expand sales of Isuzu-brand cars around the world and further strengthen the win-win relationship we have with Isuzu Motors.
