In September 2005, MC, together with Takenaka Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., was awarded the contract to design and construct an observation wheel and commercial building for the Singapore Flyer Pte Ltd. Construction was completed in February 2008 and the observation wheel commenced commercial operation for the general public in March of that year. The observation wheel is the world's largest—it has a ring diameter of 150 meters and each of its 28 air-conditioned cabins seats 28 people. It takes 35 minutes to travel a full circle. At the highest point it is 165 meters above ground level and you can clearly see both Malaysia and Indonesia. Now serving as a major tourist attraction for Singapore, it is expected to significantly contribute to the development of Singapore's tourism industry. MC aims to utilize this Singapore experience to secure other such large scale projects in countries around the world.

MC, together with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Obayashi Corporation, Kajima Corporation and Turkey's Yapi Merkezi was awarded the contract by the United Emirates' Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai to build a railway system. The contract for construction of this project, which will be the world's longest fully-automated (driverless) rail system in the world, is worth approximately ¥400 billion. The pace of construction will be rapid. In Dubai alone, the United Emirates plans to establish a rail network that exceeds 300 km within the next 15 years. MC aims to utilize its experience and results obtained from this projectthe first urban railway in the Gulf Statesto extend its railway system business in the Middle East.
