MC engages in global business operations with the help and support of many different stakeholders. INNOVATION 2007 focuses on three main groups: "shareholders, investors and creditors," "customers and partners" and "employees." We call this the Stakeholder Triangle, and our management tries to ensure a balance between all three interests.

Naturally, MC understands and respects its obligations to pay taxes, but our involvement goes far beyond that. We are actively involved in national projects and with business organizations and we provide governments with recommendations on a wide range of economic, environmental and social issues.

A total of 188,925 domestic and international institutional and personal investors hold shares in MC. The company values the faith that they have placed in us and we endeavor to do our part by strengthening profitability, improving corporate value and paying regular, stable dividends.

We maintain a dialogue with NPOs and NGOs that focus on various issues including the environment and human rights. Through our donations and volunteer activities we build systems of support and collaboration.

MC' s customers can be found in regions and industries around the world, and we have developed a wide range of functions that enable us to satisfy the multiple and varied requirements of these customers. We also manage a global-level supply chain, and work with our partners to promote CSR.

MC publishes its "CSR Guidelines for Supply Chain Management".

Mitsubishi Corporation has recently published and distributed its CSR Guidelines for Supply Chain Management. The key objective in the development of these guidelines has been to ensure that the company continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental and social principles across its business activities.
Starting with the application of these guidelines to products and regions listed in the Supply Chain Labour Standards Criteria of the FTSE4Good global index, Mitsubishi Corporation has communicated these new guidelines to its business partners and suppliers and will be monitoring the active application of these guidelines on a continuous basis.

MC understands the importance of maintaining good communication with the regions and communities in which it does business, and it endeavors to contribute to community-building through both tangible and intangible means.

MC employs 5,375 people in its domestic and international operations, and a total of 55,867 people when consolidated subsidiaries are included. It is the knowledge and skills of each of these individuals that supports the growth of MC.

| Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Indices and Inclusion in SRI Funds |
In addition to traditional investments based on financial analysis, recent years have seen the establishment in many parts of the world of SRI indices and funds that value and select companies on the basis of their social activities, environmental-friendliness and ethics, etc.
MC has been included in many global and national SRI indices and funds as a result of the high marks given to its CSR programs and the transparency of its information disclosure. MC is currently listed on FTSE4Good, a leading index of FTSE, which is a joint venture in the UK between the Financial Times and the London Stock Exchange; the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI), maintained by Dow Jones in the USA; and the MS-SRI of Morningstar Japan (as at July 2007).
