Apart from the petroleum business, Mitsubishi Venezolana also has a strong business relationship with Sidor, the nation's premier steel company. We have supplied Sidor with graphite electrodes for steel production for over 20 years. In addition to this mainstay of our carbon business, we are also looking to promote other carbon products such as cathode and anode blocks, calcined petroleum coke, and pitch for aluminum smelters.

Although Venezuela is rich in natural resources, the variable political and economic climate presents some special challenges as waves of change cross the nation from time to time. The key to our success in this ever-changing environment has been our know-how, which allows us to move around or face and deal with different situations. We are determined to expand our approach here in order to overcome adversities and identify more business opportunities.

Trend Now - Region - A Region of Crossroads & Contrasts
At 979-meters high, Angel Falls is the world's tallest waterfall “Crossroads and Contrasts” — no words better define our corner of the world. Set on one of the world's oldest geographic formations is one of Venezuela's newest cities' — Ciudad Guayana. Created in the early 1960s, Ciudad Guayana is now the nation's heavy industry center. The city is located between two towns, the historic San Felix with its Spanish fort, and Puerto Ordaz, the gateway to the Guiana Highlands, home of the world famous Angels Falls.

Ciudad Guayana is located at the point where two great rivers converge-the Orinoco and the Caroni. Four hydroelectric dams have been built along the Caroni, including Guri, the biggest, and Macagua, which is located in the city.

From ecotourism to a stroll in beautiful city parks, the area has a lot of offer both residents and visitors alike.
