Based in Madrid, the company's five main product groups – Machinery, Energy, Living Essentials, Metals and Chemicals – are specialists in their field. History Since its establishment in 1973, Mitsubishi España's main commercial activities have been traditionally associated with the Spanish electric sector. Nevertheless, from its foundation, the company has progressively diversified its business to a wide range of products, centring its efforts on promoting Spanish export to Japan as well as to other markets, and co-ordinating heavy machinery projects, principally in the power industry, between Mitsubishi companies and Spanish companies operating in this sector. Mitsubishi Espana's Business Activities by product group include, but are not restricted to: • Machinery Construction of Industrial plants, such as combined-cycle power or environmental plants on a turn-key basis: the export and import of industrial machinery components: and the import of vessels and related equipment, electrical equipment for rolling stock and elevators. • Energy LNG (liquified natural gas) trading and the import of graphite electrodes, coke and carbon products • Living Essentials The import of tyres, inkjet paper and optical fibre cable: the export of olive oil, wine, caba canned fruits, tomato paste, textiles, footwear and granite. • Metals The import of steel pipes, plates and sheets: third country trade of oil and gas linepipe and drilling pipes: and the import of solar energy panels. • Chemicals The import of biodiastase concentrate, lactase and the export of sepiolite.
