Overview
We promote biomass fuels businesses and other businesses related to renewable energies such as solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and wind power and work on the development of new energy to supplement and replace fossil fuels. In addition, we have set up a clean energy fund to finance a variety of businesses.
Strategy
MC had already been involved in the business of new energy business development through the Business Innovation Group. Beginning April 2009, the New Energy Development Division shall be set up as one of the "Corporate Development Section" under the direct executive control of MC's president. Under this new system, MC shall be able to speedily seize upon new business chances from a company-wide perspective.
Through new energy related businesses, the division shall contribute to the improvement of the global environment and take a leading role in MC's environmental business activities.
