The Environmental & Water Business Development Division promotes global environmental businesses with a focus on three fields: emissions reduction business, water and environmental solutions; and automotive-related business. Through these business activities, the division shall take a leading role in MC's environmental businesses with a mission to provide valid solutions for the various environmental problems affecting the planet.

Overview
Automotive-Related Business
MC has a broad understanding of the direction that the automobile and automobile parts industries are heading and as one of the leaders of this change, MC aims to create new businesses related to automobiles.
Water & Environmental Solutions
MC is engaged in domestic and international water-related businesses, and various environmental and resource recycling businesses.
Emissions Reduction Business
Through our promotion of greenhouse gas reduction projects under the Kyoto Protocol, MC is not only contributing to reducing global warming, but also aiming for the realization of a low-carbon society.
Strategy
MC had already been involved in environmental business through the Business Innovation Group. Beginning April 2009, the Environmental & Water Business Development Division shall be set up as one of the "Corporate Development Section" under the direct executive control of MC's president. Under this new system, MC shall be able to speedily seize upon new business chances from a company-wide perspective.
