Trading of fuel oil and asphalt for general industry use

The Industrial Petroleum Marketing Unit sells fuel oil for general industry use, mainly in Japan.

Mitsubishi Corporation handles a wide range of petroleum products, primarily dealing with middle distillate oil, but also including heating oil, and asphalt for burning. We facilitate the smooth and stable supply of petroleum products to customers, either utilizing our own refineries, or procuring them through direct trading with a number of different petroleum companies in Japan.

We expect diversification of fuel sources and technologies will continue in Japan and hope to play a leading role in the evolution of this industry, drawing particularly on the expertise we have acquired to provide consultancy services on fuel procurement and advisory services on switching to more environmentally friendly fuels such as natural gas and bio-fuels.
