Overview
Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) is striving to further develop an efficient transport system based on its domestic and international distribution network. Three enterprises form the core of our activities in this area: the comprehensive logistics businesses of Mitsubishi Corporation LT, Inc.; the comprehensive liquids logistics company of MC Terminal Co. Ltd.; and Mitsubishi Ore Transport Co. Ltd. We provide high value-added services that respond to a wide variety of needs, extending from B2B-oriented procurement, production, and sales through to services focused on the needs of end-users. In addition, Mitsubishi Corporation Insurance Co., Ltd. is at the core of our efforts to promote risk solution services through insurance in order to cover the risks that arise during the processes of various economic activities.
Strategy
Building on its accumulated knowledge and experience as a logistics division in a general trading company, its global network of 170 operating bases that are highly integrated into value chains is utilized to provide general logistics and insurance solutions to customers both inside and outside MC. This results in MC's access to the industry on which it bases the development of a new industrial finance business, handling instruments such as industrial REITs. The Division's basic strategy is to provide logistics and insurance services that leverage the high value-added services of MC.
