In the Foods (Products) Division, we deal in processed foods, frozen and chilled foods, dairy products, and beverages. We strive to bring deliciousness to our dinner tables while placing maximum priority on food safety and reliability.

Activities

Overview

In the Foods (Products) Division, we handle various products and businesses in the food industry, which is facing rapid change and undergoing accelerated restructuring, and make efforts to improve the functions of this industry's value chain. In particular, we are focusing on strengthening our global material procurement, providing products in a wide range of food categories and promoting alliances with retailers and restaurants including major convenience stores and supermarkets. MC is responding to a wide range of new market needs with business investments such as Princes, a major food and beverage company of the U.K., and San-Esu Inc., a confectionary wholesaler.

Strategy

In the Food (Products) Division, we are working on the establishment of the value chain where we can satisfy consumers with goods and service supplied in a timely manner. We will further reinforce our capabilities to procure raw materials and processed foods in Japan and overseas, and enhance our role as a manufacturer of food products at processing bases abroad. At the same time, we will proceed with establishing food traceability, and strengthening our sales function in China, Asia and Europe. Working throughout the food value chain, we endeavor to provide high value-added products and services.

Processed foods, mineral water, canned foods, liquor, confectionery and confectionary ingredients, health foods, pet foods, frozen and chilled products, cheese, dairy products, processed dairy products, coffee ingredients, cacao ingredients, fruit juices, raw tea products.
