Mitsubishi Corporation Art Gate Program - Fostering and promoting talented young artists

MC launched the Mitsubishi Corporation Art Gate Program ("MCAGP") as a corporate social contribution activity to foster the development, and help the careers of individuals aspiring to become professional artists.

Students and graduates of fine-art related universities in Japan normally do not have abundant opportunities to exhibit their work. Every three months, the MCAGP purchases, by public invitation, about 50 works of contemporary art (200 works each year) by artists with a promising future at the price of 100,000 yen per work. After exhibiting the works inside and outside the company, MC sells the works it purchases through public auctions. The aim of this program is to nurture young artists and support their careers.
