At MC, each employee gains the chance to have a variety of experiences and careers, and MC actively promotes personnel assignment practices that boost the vitality of individuals and the organization.
Basic approach to personnel assignment
MC's cultivation of its human resources is centered on guidance and education through work experiences (on-the-job training), and MC carries out personnel assignment from a company-wide perspective.
In particular, in recent years, MC has been promoting inter-organizational exchange from the perspective of enhancing human resources through diverse experiences, and MC will maintain and expand this activity going forward.
In addition, MC aims to globally advance human resource development (HRD) further with activities such as bringing employees hired in other countries to Head Office and proactively dispatching young employees overseas through the global trainee system (For details, please refer to "HR Development—Our Training systems and Their Key Features").
Following the "Midterm Corporate Strategy 2012," MC will focus on new growth markets. In terms of business domains, our focus is on infrastructure and global environmental businesses which contribute to solutions for issues that Japan and the entire world face and are designated as "MC's Strategic Domains." In terms of geographic region our focus is on China, India and Brazil, which are emerging economies experiencing remarkable domestic growth and are designated as "strategic regions." MC will enhance the allocation of management resources to these growth markets with not just money, but also human resources.
Promotion of the Career Development Program
The transfer of personnel and the accompanying new communication that is generated have an energizing effect on both organizations and people. Moreover, by having multiple career experiences, employees widen the range of their skills as businesspeople and improve their capabilities. MC enhances its Career Development Programs (CDP) in line with its medium- and long-term business strategy and promotes the strategic transfer of employees.
