    Support for Wildlife Conservation Society’s Amazon Waters Initiative in key watersheds in Peru and Brazil ($1,000,000 , 2013-2017); Conservation of the Patagonian coast and Southwestern Atlantic Seascape of Argentina ($1,000,000, 2007-2011; $50,000, 2012-2013)

  • Root Capital

    $300,000 program-related investment (PRI) to expand lending to sustainable small and growing businesses in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador and promote the preservation of environmentally vulnerable regions in Latin America.

  • Wild Salmon Center

    Support for Wild Salmon Center’s California Stronghold Initiative, which aims to ensue the healthiest salmon habitats in California remain healthy by protecting the highest impact watersheds. ($225,000, 2015-2017)

  • Fair Trade USA

    Seed funding to introduce Fair Trade labor standards in agriculture supply chains in North America ($65,000, 2015)

  • IUCN

    Assessment of the distribution and conservation status of species that are critical indicators of ecosystem health for Canada, and incorporation of data into the IUCN Red List ($330,000, 2013-2015)

  • Environmental Grantmakers Association

    MCFA has supported the Environmental Grantmakers Association since 2007.

  • IFIP

    MCFA has been a supporting member of International Funders for Indigenous Peoples (IFIP) since 2006.
