Our Energy Division pursues a variety of products and businesses that meet the needs of our society and times, including natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), crude oil, petroleum products, carbon materials and products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), to provide a stable supply of the energy resources that are essential in our daily lives.

Supporting Mitsubishi Corporation (MC)'s oil and gas investments and activities, we invest in and develop oil and gas projects in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and deal a wide range of energy products including crude oil, petroleum, LPG, LNG, coal coke and carbon products.

Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty. Ltd.

North West Shelf Project Goodwyn A Platform, North Rankin B Platform

Established in 1985 as a 50-50 joint venture between MC and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. MIMI holds a one-sixth equity interest in the North West Shelf Venture (NWS Venture), producing natural gas, LNG, condensate, crude oil and LPG from the enormous gas and oil fields located on the North West Shelf, offshore Karratha in Western Australia. Also having a 14.4% equity interest in the Browse Joint Venture, MIMI remains committed to the earliest commercial development of Browse resources, located offshore approximately 425 km north of Broome in Western Australia.

The North West Shelf Project is Australia's largest resource project and one of the world's largest producers of LNG. MIMI's head office is based in Perth, Western Australia.

PE Wheatstone Pty Ltd

Through PE Wheatstone Pty Ltd (PEW), MC invests in the development and sales of LNG and natural gas of Wheatstone LNG Project. PEW holds equity interests in the Wheatstone Project (gas fields: 10%, LNG plant: 8%). The project is located offshore the northwest of Western Australia.

MC Resources Australia Pty Ltd (MCRA), with its head office based in Perth, provides technical and commercial services on Oil & Gas Upstream business for MC and Diamond Resource (DR) group companies.

Petro Diamond Australia Pty Ltd

Petro Diamond Australia Pty Ltd (PDA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of MC established in 2012 and located in Adelaide, South Australia, as an Australian petroleum business entity.

PDA started its diesel supply, sales and distribution through its import terminal in Port Bonython in 2016 and has provided various customers with competitive and reliable supply of the highest quality diesel product mainly sourced from Japan and other regions.

Port Bonython Fuels Pty Ltd

Port Bonython Fuels Pty Ltd (PBF) was established in 2014 with partnership between PDA and Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd (CC), who has wealth of knowledge, expertise and proven track record as a successful terminal operator across Australia. PBF (90% PDA, 10% Coogee Port Bonython Pty Ltd) holds and operates the Port Bonython Terminal assets.
