Products include chlor-alkali products and derivatives, petrochemicals, plastic resin, organic and inorganic chemicals, and carbon products for several industries. These industries include mining, manufacturing, agriculture, surface coatings, automotive, plastics & pharmaceuticals and steel.

Cape Flattery Silica Mines Pty Ltd

Cape Flattery Silica Mines (CFSM) mines, refines and sells silica sand which is the primary raw material for glass products such as sheet glass and LCD glass. The silica sand, taken by CFSM from one of the largest silica sand mines in the world located in Queensland, Australia, has been sold by Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) to Japan, and Asian countries for 50 years since 1968.


Our chemical product range is supplied to the following industries:


Stockfeed – nutrients, phosphoric acid

Fertilisers – NPK's, Iso-Butylidene Di-urea (IDBU), Phosphoric Acid, Phosphate rock, Urea, Ammonia, Potassium Sulphate


Organic – Methylene chloride, trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene.

Inorganic – Liquid caustic soda, Pearl caustic soda, Hydrochloric acid, Potassium hydroxide, cristobalite/magnesite.

Plastics & Coatings

Resins: Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), Polycarbonate, Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA), Polyacetal, Polystyrene, Nylon, Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS)

Products: Acrylic sheets, Synthetic sleepers

Flavour enhancers, enzymes, sugar replacements – maltitol, sorbitol

Apart from global sourcing, we have the capabilities to export chemicals and minerals. Working closely with our partners, we currently export spodumene which is used as a lithium source in batteries.
