Message from the President and CEO
Mitsubishi Corporation began its operations in Korea with the establishment of the Seoul Agency in 1962. Subsequently, its business expanded significantly along with Korea’s rapid economic growth, leading to the foundation of a local company, Mitsubishi Corporation (Korea) Ltd. (MC Korea), in 1999. Throughout the past half-century, MC Korea has always valued its corporate philosophy of the Three Corporate Principles, which has constituted Mitsubishi Corporation’s code of conduct since 1934 and is based on the teachings of the company’s fourth President and CEO, Koyata Iwasaki, in 1920.
- Corporate Responsibility to Society ("Shoki Hoko"): Strive to enrich Society, both materially and spiritually, while contributing towards the preservation of the global environment.
- Integrity and Fairness ("Shoji Komei"): Maintain principles of transparency and openness conducting business with integrity and fairness.
- Global Understanding Through Business ("Ritsugyo Boeki"): Expand business, based on all encompassing global perspective.
Going forward, MC Korea will continue to honor the Three Corporate Principles and work vigorously to expand its business in Korea, Japan, and other countries based on its global network, comprising more than 1,700 group companies in 90 countries around the world.
