Climate Action Association in Jordan (CAN Jordan)

The Climate Action Association (CAN Jordan) is a national organisation working to advance climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and inclusive development through community-based and policy-oriented initiatives. CAN focuses on delivering practical, locally driven solutions that address climate change impacts, particularly in vulnerable and water-scarce contexts.

With the support of MCF for EMEA, CAN is implementing a pilot initiative to establish a 200 m² Miyawaki urban forest integrated with a greywater treatment system in Jordan. Over the past period, the project has focused on technical planning, partnership engagement, and site preparation. In the coming year, the project aims to complete the installation and operation of the system, improve local environmental conditions, promote water reuse practices, and demonstrate a scalable nature-based solution that can be replicated in similar urban settings.
