Public Fund: The Center "Cooperation for sustainable development"

Public Fund: The Center “Cooperation for sustainable development” (CSD Center) is a non-profit organisation based in Kazakhstan, working since 2008 to promote sustainable development through environmental education, policy support, and practical solutions. The organisation collaborates with government institutions, international partners, and the private sector to advance waste management, climate action, and green innovation, serving as a platform that connects communities, business, and policymakers.

With support from MCF for EMEA, CSD Center is implementing the “Green School” project in five public schools in Konaev. The project aims to create a scalable model of environmentally sustainable schools by introducing waste separation systems, reducing single-use plastic, and strengthening environmental education. In the coming year, the project will engage over 1,000 students and 100 teachers, improve school infrastructure, and foster youth leadership and community involvement, contributing to long-term behavioural change and a greener future for Kazakhstan.
