Urban Development Division
The Urban Development Group promotes highly functional and attractive urban development projects which demonstrate the comprehensive capabilities of the MC Group. Under its vision of creating cities, societies and the future, the Urban Development Group promotes businesses in three specific areas: Urban Development & Infrastructure, Global Urban Development and Financial Business.
In Urban Development & Infrastructure, we engage in the development and management of urban development projects and real estate development projects such as logistics facilities, commercial facilities and residential properties in Japan, as well as infrastructure projects including data centres and airports, key facilities that form the foundation of urban infrastructure.
Global Urban Development, is engaged in the development and management of high value-added urban development projects that offer convenience and environmental friendliness, with a focus on the ASEAN region. We also promote the development and management of real estate development projects located mainly in North America and Asia.
In Financial Business, we offer a wide variety of financial services such as asset financing through Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. and Mitsubishi Auto Leasing Corporation. We also engage in private equity businesses and infrastructure fund management.
Our activities in the UK and Europe focus on business development of smart city and green energy infrastructure (covering transportation, auto and mobility related infrastructure), asset finance and investments in the fields of energy transition and related advanced technologies, and other businesses of the Group, independently or in collaboration with Mitsubishi HC Capital.
Our Group’s mission is to address social and environmental needs, such as responding to increased urbanization and reducing our environmental footprint, while comprehensively fusing the expertise we have accumulated in these sectors to promote large-scale and high value-added urban development projects both in Japan and worldwide.
