Notice Regarding Reports in the Media

This notice serves to inform you that a report in the morning edition of today’s Nikkei Newspaper that Mitsubishi Corporation has offered a tender to raise its stake in Lawson Inc. from 33% to 51% is not based on any information provided by Mitsubishi Corporation.

 

Whereas we acknowledge that we are considering a tender to become a majority shareholder in Lawson, Inc. while keeping the company listed on the stock exchange, no decision has been reached on the matter. Mitsubishi Corporation will provide prompt disclosure once a decision has been reached.
