Origins
On July 19, 1973, MC president Chujiro Fujino delivered a speech at the World Trade Center in Tokyo, during which he underscored the importance of social contributions. Inspired by its leader’s words, MC began its serious commitment to CSR that same year in October.

Three Overarching Themes Of MCʼs Philanthropic Activities
MC focuses on philanthropic activities in line with three overarching themes: “Realizing an Inclusive Society,” “Empowering the Next Generation” and “Conserving the Environment.” In addition, MC provides support for regions affected by natural disasters, including recovery efforts for the Great East Japan Earthquake.

The Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for EMEA (MCF for EMEA)The Mitsubishi Corporation Fund for Europe and Africa (MCFEA), which was established in 1992, changed its name to the Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation for EMEA in 2024 to support philanthropic activities in the EMEA region.
