Supporting drinking water quality and quantity monitoring database project, Mongolia
In 2014, Mitsibishi Corporation supported drinking water quality and quantity monitoring database project in Southgobi Prefecture of Mongolia. This project aims for improving knowledge of local population about water issue and contributing to water resource protection while the it has become an serious environmental issue along with recent rapid development of mining sector in the country.
Implementation organization collected monthly data of water quality and quantity from 45 wells in 14 subdivisions of Southgobi Prefecture, followed by reporting the results monthly to the international database of the World Water Monitoring Agency. Collecting monthly data and monitoring will be held continuously.

International Exchange Sponsorship • Universities in Shandong China
16 students and 2 teachers from 4 of the universities in Shandong Province (Qingdao University, Shandong University, Shandong Normal University and Yantai University) visited MC Head Office on Feb. 2nd (Mon) , and were presented with a introduction on the operation of MC as a whole and the activity on CSR in China. The students were then showed around to the CSR presentation corner "MC FOREST" in the same building.
The students expressed their full understanding and reflection on MC's Three Corporate Principle and CSR activity.
The visit was arranged following the educational program aiming at international exchange in 2013. Besides the visit to MC and other companies of MC Group, the students also visited the famous sightseeing spots in various places in Japan.

Mitsubishi Corporation donated two vehicles of Mitsubishi Motors L200 Pickups to Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar
Mitsubishi Corporation donated two vehicles of Mitsubishi Motors L200 Pickups to Shwedagon Pagoda which is the one of the most famous holy place in Myanmar on 17th January 2015.
Shwedagon Pagoda has a long history of 2500 years and it is one of the Pagodas, in which Myanmar pious Buddhists mostly worship in Myanmar. Recently, Shwedagon Pagoda is the most attractive place for tourist. As such number of visitors are increasing rapidly after the recent democratization of Myanmar.
Donation to Huang Ke Jing doctor Primary School, China
Mitsubishi Corporation has donated 3,000 books and several sets of multi-media equipment (electronic whiteboard, projector, audio equipment &computer) to Huang Ke Jing doctor Primary School in China and the donation ceremony was held on Dec.26th 2014. Then, from Jan 9th to 11th 2015, some students and teachers from this school attended the communication activity in Guangzhou. Some staff volunteers and university students who received the MC international scholarship also joined the activity and had a good communication with the primary school students. We are looking forwards to that the students who are the future of China in this school can make progress with the help of these equipment.

Australia·Earthwatch on Screen -Conserving Koala Country
On 11 December, the first screening event of "Earthwatch Australia Conserving Koala Country" was held in Melbourne. It is a documentary film of the koala conservation project which Earthwatch Australia conducts in the Otway National Park, Victoria. This is the second Earthwatch film which MC has funded the production following the film of the Great Barrier Reef conservation project in 2013. It was very well received by the audience and we hope the film will give many viewers an opportunity to think about what we can do for a sustainable environment.

Supporting Japanese education of Sichuan International Studies University, China
Japanese department of Sichuan International Studies University was established in 1973, now it is developed as the most influential Japanese education organization in the south-west of China.
Mitsubishi Corporation supports Sichuan International Studies University in four aspects: Japanese speech contest, Japan culture festival, purchasing the Japanese books, award scholarship to outstanding students.
November 12th, the donation ceremony was held. Sichuan International Studies University highly appreciated the supporting from Mitsubishi Corporation. They said:
"As an inland foreign language university, we highly appreciate the donation from Mitsubishi Corporation. It is a great significance for the Japanese education and research in our university. Thank you so much."

Mitsubishi Corporation donated Mitsubishi Pajero Sports to Dan Phuong General Hospital, Hanoi, Vietnam
Mitsubishi Corporation donated a Mitsubishi Pajero Sports to Dan Phuong General Hospital on October 21st, 2014 to give the Hospital better mobility, especially in flood and typhoon season. Pajero Sports is Japanese Motor Vehicle designed and developed by our group company Mitsubishi Motor Corporation and produced in Vietnam by our related company, Vinastar Motors. With this donation, more patients of Dan Phuong District could be supported by the medical care of the Hospital. Dan Phuong General Hospital plays an important role in surrounding area of Hanoi. The Hospital gives medical treatment, examination and surgery for 120,000 people per year. Dan Phuong District has population of 163,000 people.
Mitsubishi Corporation has committed to various trading and investment business in Vietnam more than 23 years. Mitsubishi Corporation has been proud of ourselves being socially responsible corporation. This donation is also a part of our philanthropy program promoted worldwide in the field of health, education and other public fields.

Internship for Brazilian students in Japan related to "Ciência sem fronteiras", Brazil
From July 28 (Mon) to August 8 (Fri), Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Indstries LTD, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ and Mitsubishi Corporation implemented Internship for Brazilian students in Japan related to "Ciência sem fronteiras"*.
We provided a site visit for the companies in addition to lectures about the history of Mitsubishi and our three corporate principles (三綱領) for promoting Mitsubishi's Activity.
We would like to contribute a sustenable glowth of brazilian sociaty, as cooporating Brazilian human resouce development through this internship program.

In 2011, Brazilian Government launched a policy of supporting study abroad of Brazilian students in the science and engineering majors. The government aspire to supporting study abroad of 100,000 people in the five years up to 2015 , aiming to strengthen a competitiveness of science technology. Japanese universities have also started receiving these students.

The Mitsubishi Corporation Lecture Series of University of Washington Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies Japan Studies Program
MC is supporting several lectures held by the University of Washington Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies Japan Studies Program, an award-winning program that is over 100 years old. The Mitsubishi Corporation Lecture Series was named such as it was made possible with a gift from MC. The first lecture held on February 27 featured Prof. Motoshige Itoh (University of Tokyo) who gave a presentation entitled "Abenomics and the Japanese Economy: Prime Minister Abe's New Policies to Boost Japan's Economy" was enjoyed by about 180 people. The second lecture, held on April 21, was given by Prof. Carol Gluck (Columbia University) who spoke on the topic "Modernity in Common: Japan and World History". About 200 people attended. The third lecture of the series, held on May 28 featured Prof. Shinichi Kitaoka (National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies) whose talk "East Asian Security Challenges and Japan's New Strategy Under Prime Minister Abe" was attended by an audience of roughly 220.
Scholarship to Swedish students for studies in Japan via Sweden Japan Foundation, Sweden
Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) supported Sweden Japan Foundation, through granting scholarships to ten Swedish university students to study in Japan. Sweden Japan Foundation is an organization that supports academic and cultural exchange between Sweden and Japan. The scholarship students are studying / doing their researches in various Japanese universities in the period between April 2014 and first half 2015.
On May 19th, the award ceremony was held. Princess Christina, the honorary chairman of Sweden Japan Foundation, was invited and the staffs from MC's Stockholm Liaison Representative Office gave scholarship diploma to each student.
