Botanic Gardens Conservation International

BGCI is the world's largest network working for plant conservation, environmental education and sustainable development.

BGCI works on an international scale to conserve plant diversity for the well-being of people and the planet, and to raise awareness of the importance of plants as one of the earth's greatest natural resources.

Through its network of botanic gardens and conservation organizations around the world, BGCI works on policy issues, research related to endangered species, practical conservation training and environmental education.

The MCFEA supported BGCI with regular contributions from 1993 to 2012.
