BirdLife International is a global partnership of conservation organisations that strives to conserve birds and their habitats and works towards sustainability in the use of natural resources.

BirdLife International Partners operate in over one hundred countries and territories worldwide and collectively have over 2,500,000 members.

The MCFEA supported Birdlife’s "Spring Alive" project from 2008 to 2017. Spring Alive is an inspiring international educational project designed to promote children's interest in nature and its conservation through tracking the arrival of birds in spring. The observation of birds migrating between Europe and Africa provides a unique opportunity to create a deeper understanding of how one country's/continent's decisions can affect the birds and environment in another.
