A Memorial Service for Minoru “Ben” Makihara , former Chairman & President of Mitsubishi Corporation.
A Memorial Service to commemorate the life of Minoru “Ben” Makihara (January 12, 1930-December 13, 2020), former Chairman & President of Mitsubishi Corporation, will be held as follows:
Date : Monday, May 17, 2021
Time : 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Place : Imperial Hotel, Tokyo

Mrs. Kikuko Makihara, loving wife of Mr. Makihara, will represent the family at the Memorial Service.
There will be no planned speeches of condolence at the Service. Please visit to pay your respects at any time between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
We respectfully ask that you refrain from bringing any condolence gifts, offerings or floral tributes.
In light of recent COVID-19 developments and for precautionary measures, we kindly request all guests to wear face masks at all times.
Refreshments will not be served due to social distancing requirements.
