Formulation of the Roadmap to a Carbon Neutral Society 2.0

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) has formulated the Roadmap to a Carbon Neutral Society 2.0 (Roadmap 2.0).

In line with the Roadmap to a Carbon Neutral Society (Roadmap 1.0), launched in October 2021, MC has advanced its Energy Transformation initiatives, continuing to deliver a stable, reliable energy supply that helps drive the transition toward a carbon-neutral and resilient future.

Since the launch of Roadmap 1.0, pathways towards carbon neutrality are becoming increasingly diversified, and the pace of transition is unlikely to be linear due to the heightened geopolitical risks and the rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence driving an unprecedented surge in power demand.

Even as the decarbonization landscape continues to evolve and give rise to new social challenges, MC remains committed to addressing these challenges head-on through our Energy Transformation initiatives based on Roadmap 2.0.
