Large-scale natural gas and LNG export projects in the United States

Through Adamas Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, we are advancing upstream operations as the operator, with a primary focus on the development and production of Haynesville shale gas in Texas and Louisiana. These operations produce approximately 15–18 million tonnes per year on an LNG-equivalent basis.
In addition, through a joint venture with Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (Japan LNG Investment), MC participates, alongside Sempra (U.S.), TotalEnergies (France), and Mitsui & Co., in the Cameron LNG project, an LNG export project in the United States. The project has a total production capacity of 12 million tonnes of LNG per year across three trains, of which MC holds terminal use rights equivalent to one train, or approximately 4 million tonnes per year.
Starting from upstream gas, we aim to ensure a stable supply to the U.S. Southern market, one of the country’s major natural gas demand centers. By leveraging MC’s integrated capabilities and industry touchpoints across LNG, power, clean hydrogen, and gas chemicals, we seek to create added value by building a comprehensive gas value chain.
