Donation Ceremony of My Son Sanctuary Documentary Film,Vietnam
Mitsubishi Corporation sponsored UNESCO to make a quality documentary film on My Son Sanctuary World Heritage in Quang Nam Province (Central of Vietnam) . This film will be shown at media space of My Son Sanctuary. Film DVD will be sold to visitors, and funds by this sales will be appropriated to preservation activities in My Son Sanctuary. Mitsubishi Corporation believe this project will help to attract more visitors and to promote significant value of My Son World Heritage site among visitors and local people and encourage them to participate in the preservation of the world heritage.

Supporting Small Scale Coffee Growers "Forest Ranger Families Program", Colombia
From year 2008, Mitsubishi Corporation has been supporting Colombian small coffee growers who are exposed to the threat of illegal production like cocaine.
This social contribution is to donate financial support to the Governmental Program which facilitates the delivery of equipment and infrastructure improvement to small farmers including training and skills development by agricultural expert’s assistance. This Program benefits 2,880 small coffee growers in 9 departments in 10 years in total.
We conducted the ceremony of donation for this year on February 26th. We plan to support 288 small coffee growers in Narino department this year.

International Exchange Sponsorship・Universities in Shandong China
16 students and 2 teachers from 4 of the universities in Shandong Province (Qingdao University, Shandong University, Shandong Normal University and Yantai University) visited MC Head Office on Jan 25, and were presented with a introduction on the operation of MC as a whole and the activity on CSR in China through DVD. After a extensive exchange during lunch with MC staff, the students were then showed around to the CSR presentation corner "MC FOREST" in the same building.
The students expressed their full understanding and deep reflection on MC's Three Corporate Principle and CSR activity.
The visit was arranged following the educational program aiming at international exchange in 2012. Besides the visit to MC and other companies of MC Group, the students also had a chance to exchange with their counterparts in Japanese university, and visited the famous sightseeing spots in various places in Japan.

Supporting the establishment of Japan Information and Study Center at Andhra University, India
On December 14, the Inauguration Ceremony of "Japan Information and Study Center" at Andhra University was held in the State of Andhra Pradesh, India. Mitsubishi Corporation supported the establishment of this center with the aim of providing a better opportunity to the students to learn Japanese Language and Japanese culture. There will be many books and audio material equipped in the center and will be utilized by the students.
Providing Support for Environment Diary Program ,Sri Lanka
Initiated by Green Cross Japan, the Environment Diary Program is a way of encouraging children - the leaders of our future - to think about the environment. In keeping such diaries, elementary school students are encouraged to not only write about environmental initiatives but to share their ideas and turn them into action.
MC supported the launch of this project in Sri Lanka Since 2012. Approximately 7,200 5th grade elementary school students took part over a three month period.4 winners were eventually selected and invited to an award ceremony in Tokyo. The winners also visit MC's head office, where they gave their impressive speeches and MC’s CSR station "MC FOREST".

Sponsorship of the performance tour in Japan by Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra from El Sistema Youth Orchestra of Caracas, Venezuela
As the principal partner, Mitsubishi Corporation has supported the performance tour in Japan by Teresa Carreño Youth Orchestra from El Sistema Youth Orchestra of Caracas, which is one of the El Sistema's 40 years anniversary programs.
El Sistema is a youth education program of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in which children are provided music education and the organized lives in orchestra to protect them from poverty-oriented crimes and delinquencies. Now being a globally acclaimed orchestra, similar programs are introduced not only in other Latin American countries but also in Northern America and Europe, for its successful outcomes on education and social welfare improvements.
MC will continue our contribution to provide solutions to social issues in Venezuela, to promote cultural activities and to develop Japan-Venezuela relationship even further.

MC provides Mitsubishi Corporation International Scholarship for Studies in Japan and holds networking event
Since fiscal 1991, as part of its social contribution activities, MC has operated a scholarship fund that supports international students attending universities in Japan. MC is currently paying scholarships to 100 students from 51 Universities. On Friday,16 October 2015, MC invited international students to Head Office and held a networking event, providing them with an opportunity to visit MC FOREST, Former Residence of Iwasaki Family and participate in exchange meeting. They had Group Discussion about how they plan to use their study abroad experience in Japan.
"Mitsubishi Friendship Cup" Grassroots Football 5-a-side Competition in 2015
The First "Mitsubishi Friendship Cup" Grassroots Football 5-a-side Competition began on Oct.10, 2015. This Competition is sponsored by seven companies of the Mitsubishi Group, including Mitsubishi Corporation, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (China), Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings, Mitsubishi Materials and Nippon Yusen Kaisha.
With a view to enhancing the grassroots participation in parasports, this Competition aims at encouraging more people with impairments to take part in and enjoy sports.
A total of 19 football teams with 222 players from 8 provinces of China including Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong, Jiangxi and Fujian gathered in Beijing for the event, organized by the China Administration of Sports for Persons with Disabilities. After the one-week Qualification Trial, the Cup Finals were held on Oct. 17. The Mitsubishi Group provided 80 volunteers to assist with the event.

Donating picture books to indigenous children, Australia
On the 2nd of September, 2015, NPO Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) hosted a launch event in relation to "Indigenous Literacy Day" at the Sydney Opera House. ILF is an NPO aiming to raise literacy levels among indigenous children living in remote communities. This year, Mitsubishi Corporation donated A$50,000 to ILF's book supply program and approx. 7,200 books will be delivered to remote indigenous communities soon. Nearly 300 school children joined ILF at the launch event and enjoyed great music performance by ILF ambassodors, book-reading by indigenous students, and book swapping with other participants. 10 staff from Mitsubishi Australia and Tokio Marine Sydney Branch jointly assisted this special day as event management volunteers and worked proactively before and during the event.

Internship for Brazilian students in Japan related to “Ciência sem fronteiras”, Brazil
From August 25th (Tue) to September 4th (Fri), Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries LTD, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Kirin Holdings and Mitsubishi Corporation implemented an Internship for Brazilian students in Japan related to “Ciência sem Fronteiras” *.
We provided site visits to the companies in addition to lectures about the history of Mitsubishi and our three corporate principles (三綱領) for promoting Mitsubishi's Activity.
We would like to contribute to the sustenable growth of Brazilian society, cooperating with Brazilian human resources development through this internship program.
- *“Ciência sem fronteiras”
In 2011, Brazilian Government launched a policy of supporting study abroad of Brazilian students in the science and engineering majors. The government supported overseas studies of around 100,000 people in the five years up to 2015, and it is starting its second phase, from 2015 to 2019, aiming to strengthen the competitiveness of Brazilian science and technology. Japanese universities have also started receiving these students.

Abu Dhabi High Scool Camp ~ Mitsubishi Study Tour ~
Since fiscal 2012, as part of International contribution programs, MC has provided Mitsubishi Study Tour in Japan for Applied Technology High School Students in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E in order for them to feel Japanese High-technology and to grow global perspectives.
In fiscal 2015 from July 20 to August 4, seven (7) boy students visited Mitsubishi Factories/Offices in Japan thanks to great professional coordination by Mitubishi Group Companies, MHI, MELCO and MMC and they did have wrap up meetimg in MC's head office on July 30, 2015.

The Tree-planting Activity of MC in Inner Mongolia of China in 2015
The cooperation between MC and the China Green Foundation dates back to 2005 with continuous tree-planting activities in provinces including Hebei, Guizhou and etc. in China. With the initiation of the desertification prevention and afforestation program in Inner Mongolia of China last year, MC support planting sacsaoul(Haloxylon), which is of tenacious vitality and effectively contributes to the desertification prevention and ecological environment enhancement, in the desert region covering an area of around 181 acres. The sacsaoul(Haloxylon)can also be used as the host of the traditional Chinese medicine Cistanche deserticola. It is hoped that its economic value can make contribution to the promotion of the living standard of the local people as well.
In addition to the financial assistance, 48 employees from 11 branch offices of MC China including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and etc. took participation in the tree-planting activity in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China as volunteers from June 5 to June 7, 2015. They carried out exchange and communication activities with local pupils and brought them presents. Planting trees together with local people, the volunteers have a deeper understand and more intimate knowledge of the importance of afforestation for the desert region and the significance of environmental protection in daily lives.

Japan Association for the World Food Programme Charity Walk: 'Walk the World'
The Japan Association for the World Food Programme (an NPO supporting the United Nations World Food Programme's mission of fighting hunger worldwide) hosted a charity walk called 'Walk the World' on 24 th May 2015.
Taking place on a Sunday morning, the event attracted 4,212 participants including 45 participants from Mitsubishi Corporation and Group Company's employees and families. The diverse crowd, ranging from adults to children, enjoyed a leisurely 5-10km walk along Yokohama's scenic Minato-Mirai Bay, and in doing so made a significant contribution towards the organisation's aim of raising funds for children.
