Forging of Supply Chains and Co-Existence Strategy Aimed at Regional Revitalization for the Offshore Wind Power Generation Projects off the coast of Akita Prefecture and Chiba Prefecture

Our company hereby announces the principal concept on conducting the long-term offshore wind power generation projects, as the appointed consortium members on December 24th, 2021 for the following promotion zones in accordance with Japanese legislation to facilitate the use of its marine spaces for renewable power generation.
 
  • Off the coast of Noshiro City, Oga City and Mitane Town, Akita Prefecture Promotion Zone for the Development of Marine Renewable Energy Power Generation Facilities
  • Off the coat of Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture (Northern and Southern sides) Promotion Zone for the Development of Marine Renewable Energy Power Generation Facilities
  • Off the coast of Choshi City, Chiba Prefecture Promotion Zone for the Development of Marine Renewable Energy Power Generation Facilities
 
Our company has participated in 7 offshore wind power generation projects totaling 3.5 million kW in European market, where implementation of renewable energy is advanced. In these projects, as a result of actively being involved from the developments to the operations through sending human resources, we have progressed the accumulation and in-sourcing of the experiences and expertise in this field, in a meantime trained our employee to be “offshore wind professionals”.
Moreover, employee from Eneco, the integrated energy company in Netherlands which became our subsidiary in 2020, have also involved from the bid preparation phase, and we are planned to leverage its rich store of expertise of the offshore wind power generation projects.
Using the data provided from the government, together with the independent survey and analysis based on existing documents which to be conducted, we aim to optimize the risk and uncertainty through the various risk analysis, and maintain the long-term project stability.
