Automotive & Mobility Group

Our Business

Automotive & Mobility Group

Mitsubishi Corporation has grown its automotive business, focusing on sales & distribution and financing of passenger and commercial vehicles, by taking the opportunities that car manufacturers in Japan have been expanding business especially to overseas markets.

Concentrating on ASEAN countries as a key market expected to grow even more in the coming years, we are deepening our presence in production, sales & distribution, financing and after-sales services the so-called “Automotive Value Chain.” One of our missions has been to grasp highly localized customer needs & voices and reflect them in product specs & quality, as well as in the after-sales services, to finally enhance product appeal and brand loyalty.

The automotive industry is undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation, driven largely by digitization and the CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared/Service and Electric) evolution. Here in the Automotive & Mobility Group, we are seizing opportunities by CASE, strengthening businesses anchored on Mitsubishi Corporation's long-developed functions and localized networks, and spearheading solutions in the mobility services related to passenger & cargo transportation.

The adaptability to society's needs and the environment is more important than ever, so our Group is paying careful attention to customer needs around the world and aiming for sustainable growth. We are also leveraging our businesses to address two of Mitsubishi Corporation's Key Sustainability Themes, “Transitioning to a Low-carbon Society” and “Tackling Evolving Regional Issues.”
