Food & Wellness Division

Based on its global supply chain, the Food & Wellness Division provides a stable supply of highly palatable food & beverage materials such as coffee, cocoa, edible nuts, sesame seeds, and oils and fats. We also manufacture and sell food ingredients, health ingredients, and cosmetic materials globally based on differentiated technologies, including fermentation.

Wellness awareness is growing worldwide as values diversify. We embrace the challenges of creating shared value in the food and health domains and realizing a society of abundant well-being by combining our food & beverage materials business, which is based on our ability to procure sustainable raw materials, with our food ingredients business, which provides good taste and health through ingredients.

Food Resources Division

At the Food Resources Division, we utilize our business locations in North America, South America and Australia, together with the global agricultural network owned by our business partners, to procure various raw materials including grains, oilseeds, animal feed, and raw sugar, and supply them to mainly Japan and other Asian countries.

We also support meat production in Japan and a wide range of food manufacturers through stable operation of the processing of raw materials such as compound feed, starches, sweeteners, flour, and sugar.

We embrace the challenge of solving social issues surrounding food and agriculture while working to build a safe and secure supply system for these various raw materials and products.

Based in Brazil, one of the world's leading food producing nations, Agrex do Brasil is involved in the procurement and sale of grains such as soybeans and corn, sales of agricultural inputs including fertilizer, chemicals, and seeds, as well as grains production on its farms.MC has participated in the company's management since 2012, and it was made a full subsidiary in 2019.
Agrex do Brasil contributes to the stable procurement and supply of grains in the northern and central-western parts of Brazil, a country whose importance as a supplier of foodstuffs is expected to grow even further.

Dia Merchandise is a food wholesaler in Bangkok, Thailand. By using MC's procurement capabilities and meticulous dispatch services built up in the region, the company delivers a wide range of products to customers in Thailand and surrounding countries, such as seafood (primarily salmon), modified starch, rice, flour and mixed flours. ATLAND Corporation

ATLAND Corp. was established in October 2022 as a joint venture with Maruha Nichiro Corporation, specializing in the land-based production of salmon. ATLAND will construct a land-based salmon aquaculture facility in Nyuzen town of Toyama prefecture that utilizes a recirculating aquaculture system, and in cooperation with Nyuzen town and the local community, aims to realize a business model based on local production for local consumption of salmon.
