The Urban Development Group promotes highly functional and attractive urban development projects which demonstrate the comprehensive capabilities of the MC Group. Under its vision of creating cities, societies and the future, the Urban Development Group promotes businesses through three divisions: Urban Development & Infrastructure, Global Urban Development and Financial Business.

The Urban Development & Infrastructure Division engages in the development and management of urban development projects and real estate development projects such as logistics facilities, commercial facilities and residential properties in Japan, as well as infrastructure projects including data centers and airports, key facilities that form the foundation of urban infrastructure.

The Global Urban Development Division is engaged in urban development and urban management projects that offer convenience and environmental friendliness, with a focus on the ASEAN region. The division also promotes the development and management of real estate development projects located mainly in North America and Asia.

The Financial Business Division engages in managing private equity and infrastructure funds, and also offers a wide variety of financial services such as asset financing through Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. and Mitsubishi Auto Leasing Corporation.

Our Group's mission is to create value through urban development projects that meet the societal needs of cities and the people who live there by leveraging the expertise we have accumulated in real estate, infrastructure, and financial business.

Organizational Structure

Urban Development & Infrastructure Division

The Urban Development & Infrastructure Division engages in the development of a wide range of real estate projects such as retail, industrial facilities, housing and industrial parks in Japan. The division also engages in differentiated real estate asset management business through its private REIT and funds, as well as the development and operation digital and transportation infrastructure such as data centers and airports.

Global Urban Development Division

The Global Urban Development Division engages in the development and operation of high-value-added, mixed-use cities that offer convenience and low environmental impact, mainly in the ASEAN region, as well as the development and operation of various real estate properties in North America and Asia.

Financial Business Division

The mission of the Financial Business Division is to leverage its access to MC's wide-ranging industries and extensive global network to develop MC's finance business throughout the world. This access is provided by way of MC's partners in Japan and overseas, including Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc.. We engage in private equity fund management business in Japan, ASEAN region, the US and other parts of the world, working with our partners to address challenges faced by business enterprises and helping them to enhance their corporate value over the medium to long term. The Financial Business Division also engages in raising and managing infrastructure funds, to invest in infrastructure assets on behalf of institutional investors.
